We've been pretty busy lately, as you can probably tell, since I haven't posted anything in a while. E has been workin a side job for a week and should hopefully be done tonight. The boys have gone up to 48 hours without seein Daddy. Wyatt has noticed it and when he is hurt our upset at somethin, he's been sayin things like, 'I want my daddy back', and 'I miss my daddy!' We've been gearin up for three different trips, all within a week and a half of each other: one to the western part of the state; one to go camping in the south-central part of the state; and one to go see my two newborn neices in Pennsylvania, along with my sisters and parents.
Tuesday I loaded up the boys and took them to my hometown to see my Grandma. It's been since Thanksgiving that I've gone to see her.
Wyatt kept her busy with all his stories and explanation of each and every picture that she saw on the camera. We also got to see my aunt, my cousin and her husband and their two boys. We had a really good time. The trip, as far as travelling with the boys, didn't turn out as bad as I had feared it could have. Although the boys didn't sleep much at all on the way there or on the way back, we made it with only a few apprehensive moments. One of those moments was after Wy had asked for a kleenex. My thought was, 'Wow! He's askin for a kleenex to clean his nose! What a big boy!' I even said that to him. Sure enough, he had a full nose and wanted that stuff out! Problem was, he used the wrong method for the kind of full nose he had. It wasn't a wet and runny nose but he balled up the end of the kleenex like I do, and twirled it around in his nostril.
With a wet nose, that's all fine and good, and usually works like a charm, but his wasn't wet. The kleenex got stuck. He was so upset about it I couldn't even understand what he was crying about. Oh, was he mad!!
I didn't realize til later, after he said, 'I got it momma! It came out!' that he had balled up kleenex stuck in his nose!! In this picture you can just barely see it.
He worked and worked at gettin it out. He pulled some out before we got home, sneezed and some came out, and later, sittin on daddy's lap after we got home, he sneezed again and MORE came out!!
Last night we watched Uncle Mike and Aunt Rene load up, hook up, and drive away witht their camper. They are headed down to Arkansas for their annual vacation in the beautiful hills along the Buffalo River. Wy kept sayin that he wanted to go campin with them and I had to keep reminding him that we were goin campin with Daddy this weekend and we are gonna have Daddy all to ourselves! That never failed to cheer him up. E and I are very excited about campin since we've hardly seen each other too and it'll be nice to be out fishin and campin and not have schedules. We won't be interupted or called or feel the need to go anywhere. Right there is where we'll want to be!
More scenes from the road:
In this next picture, look at how small the cattle are compared to this energy-producing windmill:
These suckers are HUGE! The cattle are tiny! When we see the propellers bein trucked down the highway they dwarf the truck, the road, and you they are so big!
